Maryland & Us Newweek

maryland is ranked 55th on the 2006 us newsweek. where do you all expect it to be 2007? will it move up or down? i know maryland is attempting to rank among the top 10 public schools.
i recall maryland was ranked 30th in 1998 now its ranked 18th among the public schools. where do you guys think it will fall for 07 and why?

I should move up due to its higher selectivity this year and its strong programs getting stronger. I don't really care though. I think it is better than schools like PSU but PSU is ranked higher. Breaking top 50 would be great but if we don't whatever.

How is Maryland ranked for English? It's well ranked for journalism, and I am trying to decide between those two majors...I love to analyze literature and write papers (I know that's weird), do creative writing, and do news and feature writing (I'm on the newspaper staff at school and do some articles for our local community gazette also). Not sure I'd want to be a reporter but would probably like being an English teacher or professor.

check here shuga ;), but the site is down for now, here you can check its rankings

The only problem is deciding who would move down to move Maryland up.

hahahah brand.i suggest all schools out to kneel in front of maryland. lol umm no but college park, i know for a fact, will move up the list its looking to good here, well see on aug 18.

well I can tell ya one thing it won't be overtaking UT-Austin :)

thanks, abe!

I think texas is a school that should be moving up big time.
