<p>I’ve never understood the point of award ceremonies anyways. I never go to mine because it seems like a waste of time (have to miss some class time for rehearsals and then attend the actual ceremony at night while dressed up). I think most people only go to it so they can get out of class, but they end up having to make it up later, and they already lose that time by having to go to an award ceremony afterwards.</p>

An applicant is accepted or denied admission, must it be sugar coated as “redirected”?</p>
<p>I believe that awards in MS are fine, but do the parents really have to be there? Our school does it at an assembly, short and sweet, and it’s not a huge deal. Most awards are participation pins, then a few are given for special purposes, e.g., scholar-athlete, etc.</p>
