Nice list...but at BU you won't need quarters to use the washers and dryers in your dorm. You can do those with the convenience points on your student ID card.

Also..re: surge protectors...get the ones with LONG cords. They are much easier to deal with (and safer) than extension cords.

That's only if you live in a large dormitory style building. If you live in a small dorm (Bay State Road Brownstones, apartment style buildings), you'll need quarters.

Wonder how those who live at the Hyatt get their laundry done? Any ideas that don't involve trucking all of your laundry over to main on the shuttle?

Well you can pay the hotel to do laundry which is insanely priced, or hop on the shuttle with your huge bag and truck over to Warren Towers. But hey, they have airconditioning which that in itself can make up for the extra trouble of laundry.

i think bringing the laundry to either warren or west is the best way, but u could also bring LOTS of clothes and never need to do laundry lol. or u could also hand-wash some of the clothes in the bathtub.

OK- thanks you guys. I imagine that the Hyatt would frown upon the Star Wars and Ramones poster gallery that my DD had in mind for a standard dorm room?
