Next time the list is updated, please correct the spelling of Duquesne! Great resource!

Just visited Clemson. It is not a direct entry school for a BSN. Isnât that what youâre trying to compile a list of??

The list is supposed to be a compilation of colleges that ARE direct entry programs.

So, heyholmes, you are saying that Clemson should be deleted from the list.

Maryville University in St. Louis, MO
Milwaukee School of Engineering, WI (no kidding!)

Grand Valley State University (MI)
A limited number of new freshman students are eligible for direct admission to the nursing major. Admission is based on exceptional performance in a number of academic and leadership areas.
Eligibility for Direct Admit status to the undergraduate nursing program includes:

ÂNew freshman student
ÂCumulative high school grade point average of 3.6 or higher
ÂACT composite score of 30 or higher
ÂAll of the application for admission documents, including ACT score, must be submitted to the GVSU Admissions Office by December 31 of the senior year of high school
ÂDeclaration of a nursing major by the end of the first week of classes during the first semester of enrollment at GVSU

The list compiled is great but it seems like most of the schools are on the East Coast or midwest. Are there other colleges west of the Mississippi that have a direct admission program?

Adding: Maryville U (MO), Milwaukee School of Engineering (WI), Shenandoah U (VA).

I live in California, which participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange. ( [Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) | Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education](http://wiche.edu/wue) ) I was hoping to find some Direct Admit programs within these member schools to help keep the cost of tuition down. While I didnât look at every school in the Exchange, I did a large sampling and didnât find any other schools than those listed here that offer Direct Admit. All were 2+2. I donât know why the West is underrepresented by Direct Admit schools.

If you come across any in your search, please post here. Good Luck

Clemson is definitely direct entry. I called to make sure. :)

saugus2012 has done a wonderful job in compiling a spreadsheet of the direct-entry schools. The info includes the average GPA of accepted students, SAT or ACT scores, web site link, and other notes. Thanks for sharing all your hard work!

Marshall University in Huntington WV offers Direct Admission to HS Grads. (also called and talked to Dean of Student Services to confirm) They take about 100 each fall.

This from their website ( [4 Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Application Available](http://www.marshall.edu/cohp/?p=1605) )
Admission criteria

High School Students - ACT composite of 21 or SAT of 990 with a high school gpa of 2.5 or higher

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH ACT COMPOSITE OF 24 OR SAT OF 1350 OR HIGHER with a high school gpa of 2.5 or higher qualify for AUTOMATIC ADMISSION

Please keep posting here and on the above site if you find a new school and Together weâll build a comprehensive list of Direct Admit BSN Programs. Thanks!

Would you count Ole Miss or the University of Mississippi? My daughter is looking for a direct admission program in the sunbelt and this seems to work. The hang-up is that you complete two years in Oxford at the Ole Miss campus and complete your bachelors program in Jackson at Mississippiâs University Medical Center.

Hereâs the linkâŠ

[Freshman Early Entry (BSN) - About the Program](http://son.umc.edu/academics/baccalaureate/traditional/fee/index.html)

University of Mississippi program does offer a Freshman Early Entry program. But our experience talking to other schools that offer the same thing is that there are only a very small number of students who are accepted into a FEE program. The odds are against you trying to compete for even fewer slots unless you are an Uber Student, (Minimum 3.5 GPA and ACT of 24). Their main BSN Program is a Traditional 2+2 program. Even the FEE works like a 2+2⊠two years of Pre-Requisits and then jump into nursing your Junior year. Good Luck with your Search
