If you see a school that is Direct Admit/Entry that is not on this list, post it here and at the above website.
Good Luck

Thanks for compiling that list of nursing schools.

I assume the GPAs and SAT scores that are listed in the google chart are averages for the entire college? Very few colleges seem to publish numbers for their nursing accepted students. People should keep in mind that at less selective colleges, the nursing program is often more selective than the population at large.

I’ve seen a couple colleges that do not have a minimum SAT score for their general student population, but do have a minimum for nursing students. One of the many concerns is that if too few of their graduates pass the nursing licensing exam, the college’s nursing program is put on probationary status.

Also there is a typo - u. of Rhode Island is listed as PA.

Thank you Saugus, for all your work!

Just need to point out that Clemson is in SC. Something happened in the last list sorting! I’ve been a lurker off and on since 2004 ( 3 kids - last one senior this year). My last D is majoring in Nursing. Clemson admits about 40 freshmen direct entry and offer about 60 more slots Jr. year according to their Nursing admin. Needless to say the 40 slots are offered to students with statistics much above the University average, however as my D is in I also concede that there appears to be a small edge if you are in state. Nursing is a very small (100ish of 2500ish graduating class size) but high quality program at Clemson.

GPA and SAT/ACT information is gleaned from several different sources on the Internet. My guess is that this information applies to their general population since I’m not getting it directly off of the schools nursing site. It’s just nice to have a guideline so you kind of know what you’re getting in to before you apply. Although having said that, the school my daughter got accepted into has an average GPA of 3.45 (she has a 3.0) and an average SAT score of 1230 (she has a 1180) so it’s just that… and Average. Don’t let it deter you from applying.
Good Luck!
P.S. Have fixed typos on the spreadsheet. Thanks for the Heads Up.

Florida State fell off somehow but should also be listed.

One more - Edinboro University in PA (near Erie)

East Stroudsburg U.'s program is on probation because of low pass rates on the RN test.

Just for sake of accuracy Widener University is in Pennsylvania, not Delaware (but is about 5-10 miles from Delaware border).

One more, Penn College of Technology in Williamsport PA has a direct entry BSN program, among other nursing options.

http://www.pct.edu/schools/hs/nursing/NursingBrochure.pdf#zoom=75

does stony brook not have a direct entry program?

SUNY Stony Brook is not direct entry.

and for the website with the spreadsheet, is the sat out of 2400 or 1600? i feel like some schools are out of 1600 and others are 2400. thanks

it’s a mix actually. i looked at the associated GPA to lend clarity.

To correct Duquesne’s spelling (it was driving me crazy LOL), but I also put Widener in PA.

Someone may want to redo this. I added Penn College of Technology to Penn State, since it’s an affiliated technical school. The website does say it offers a BSN.
