BassDad, if this is not the appropriate thread to post this announcement please delete.

Yes, everything is BM Viola Performance. Thanks for all you’re doing, BassDad!

I got my acceptance from Eastman last night! :D

Congratulations to MatisseGeenty and violagirl.

Georgia Girl, I think that information is of major interest to any USC applicants reading this thread and have no objections. Note that I am not a moderator and cannot delete anything. I would only trouble the moderators to remove something that was a blatant TOS violation, so I can only ask that people be considerate (as you have) when posting items other than acceptances or congratulations to this thread.

Our D got accepted into:
Florida Southern College - BM Classical Voice Perf. (planning on double major with Music Ed)
Florida State University - BM (Music Education - Voice emphasis)
Steson University - BM Classical Voice Perf. (planning on double major with Music Ed)
U of Miami/Frost - BM Classical Voice Perf. (planning on double major with Music Ed)

No, we are not from Florida, we are from Midwest, but we are planning to move down there as soon as the right opportunity comes along. That is why she focussed more on the geographical areas we have in mind.

we will share the shcolarship info later. She is waiting for few more decisions, but she is exteremely happy with what she got already.

Thanks everyone, BassDad, Mezzo’sMama!

Congratulations to Dad22kds and daughter.

Thanks Halcyon. I know. He went to camp there for three years and they are spending $80m on a new performing arts center. He wants to spread his wings, but this may be a good option for grad school in 4 years (can’t believe I am even thinking that - but you know, time flies).

Accepted to Lawrence University Conservatory of Music for BM Piano Performance! Got the decision via email; the letter still hasn’t come yet so I’m not sure of scholarships.

Got the official letter now, which included a $15,000 Warch Scholarship, the highest one the conservatory offers! :)

Dad22kds, congrats, your D has done very well! PianoMan12, way to go!!
Great job everyone!

Is Eastman notifying by email?

Congratulations PianoMan12.

D on wait list for umich vocal performance. She is disappointed, but has her ccm acceptance so in the end I have to believe everything will be ok.
We really loved ann arbor, but quite truthfully, other than the audition and the short parent meeting didn’t really get all that much of a feel for the music school. They said could be mid may before finding out about getting accepted from the waiting list, and that will be too late.

She said she feels like she doesn’t want to go where they didn’t want her as a first choice, which I can understand.

Good grief, this waiting stuff is ridiculous. between waiting on the prescreens back in the late fall and then all the auditions and now waiting on accpetances, sheesh. Its enough to drive you to drink!

Got official acceptance from Eastman last night! Flute performance! :)

Congratulations to floutista68. Unless told otherwise, I will assume that this is for a BM.

CurlyMom, we do not keep track of waitlistings on the spreadsheet. Should she elect to stay on the list (which seems dubious from your post) and subsequently get accepted, please let us know.

Hello, I am new to these forums and I wanted to say hi to all of you guys as a future music major! I have been accepted into UNT college of music,UT Austin’s Butler school of music and the University of Houston’s Moores School of music all as a bassoon music education major. I have received $900,$1000, and $3500 a year scholarships from these schools, respectively.

Congratulations, BassoSax01.

My S was just accepted to University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music’s Music Performance program. He received a $6500 scholarship. He was also accepted into San Diego State University’s School of Music and Dance as a Perfomance Major. However they only offered him 2 student loans.

Welcome and Congrats AltoSxMom! The loans are likely a sign of state funding cuts.

Just a FYI…Boston Conservatory are rumored to be coming out within the next twenty-four hours.
