Master List of Music School Acceptances, Fall 2013

I guess piano is my son’s primary instrument–but he applied only to composition programs where there was no performance audition…

Congratulations to StringPop and daughter.

@BelCantoMom, The email I got from Peabody didn’t have the scholarship info in it, but it did tell me to set up an account/log in to ISIS, and once I got logged in there, I was able to see my financial aid award.

Congratulations to UniverseKnows and daughter, on daughter’s acceptance to Hartt for a BM in voice performance, as announced on another thread.

D accepted at Peabody for soprano voice! She is so happy that we don’t want to check the financial aid document until Monday! I recall there were many negative comments about Peabody voice dept on CC over the last year–if anyone would like to send us some positives, they would be most helpful! We were very impressed when where we there, but it is hard to see inside the box until you open it! Thrilled this weekend, though.

Congratulations to annie43 and daughter.

Same Annie43! Can’t forget to relish the moment and the awesome accomplishment even if financially it won’t be a possibility! Just to get to this point has been SO many hours of blood, sweet and tears not to mention money! It is nice just to stop for a moment and enjoy!

Thanks BelCantoMom, and congrats on your daughter’s acceptance, too! Let me know what you finally decide. We are now looking at the website with a completely different eye than when we first checked it out for applications and auditions. It still seems like a wonderful place-but costly!

annie43: Congrats on Peabody. My S worked with William Sharp last summer at SongFest. S really liked him. S also has a friend who is current student of Sharp’s and seems to be doing really well.

Update on acceptances for my daughter, all BM performance:
Peabody–Sax
NEC–SAX
Boston Conservatory–Sax AND Oboe
Longy-- Sax AND Oboe

Large scholarship offers on all

Accepted to The Hartt School for BM Vocal Performance (soprano) with a $7,500 a year renewable scholarship!

Such excellent timing, too. It’s very nice to receive my acceptance a day after I got rejected from Peabody, hahaha.

My D accepted at Peabody, BM in piano performance. Congrats to all!

D also accepted to Peabody and NYU Steinhardt for BM in piano performance.

Moot point now but S received $20000 scholarship from Hartt

StacJip
