The major science awards are obvious and apparent–ISEF, ISTS, Siemens Westinghouse–but what for us, the scholars of the humanities and social sciences?

I’ll start with a few of my speculation:

The John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Essay Contest

One of the Ayn Rand Institute essay contests

The Peace Essay Contest

National History Day

Scholastic Writing Award

Please add to or strike from my list.

At first I thought that you won those. I was like HOLY CRAP!!!

T.A.S.P.

Davidson Fellow (many science/math, but doesn't have to be)

National Endowment for the Humanities - Idea of America Essay Contest

Davidson Fellow is for like everything. But yes, it's very prestigious. I did History Day in middle school (didn't win or anything, just a required project). How do you apply for it in high school?

Does anyone have the link to the National History Day Contest?
