Master of Accounting Questions... HELP.

Do the Ivy League schools offer graduate accounting programs? Either I don't know how to use Google or there are just some awfully unclear websites out there. For example, Penn State claims to have a graduate accounting program, but when I dig deeper, the only thing I can find is an MBA with an accounting emphasis. I would actually love to get an MBA instead of a MAcc, but I know that it is pretty much impossible to get into a top twenty MBA program without work experience. I am an undergrad at BYU and I need to figure out which school to go to for graduate school. I know that Notre Dame offers a one-year master's program. Does anyone know of any other top-notch schools that have graduate accounting programs?

What are you wanting to do? Public accounting? If so, any school the Big 4 recruits at would be a good choice. Pick one of them in the area you want to work.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t want to do public accounting. I want to take the corporate finance route. I know that Master of Accounting degrees are primarily for students who want to go into public accounting, but both Notre Dame and BYU have a lot of finance classes in their graduate programs. Is it possible to go to Wharton ect right out of a bachelors degree?

I think MIT-Sloan might have a Masters of Accounting (or Finance) program. MIT is recruited pretty well by Financial firms.
