Hi, Right now Im working on a degree in accounting and BH at A&M. They have a five year program that allows you to get your Bachelors and Masters Degree. I was curious if I did my first 4 at A&M would it be possible to get my masters in a year at McCombs? I think it would be beneficial to have degrees from both schools so i could network and have better career opportunities.
Thanks

Yes, Mccomb’s at UT has a 1 year Master in Professional Accounting program.

Im not sure how you’d do that. A&M’s program is a 5 year program. You’d basically have to leave after year 4, and finish all the classes you DON’T need at UT, then get your transfer accepted.

I know UT’s program is ranked higher, but A&M’s PPA students by and large pass the CPA and go on to work at Big 4 audit. Knowing that you can get there with a degree from A&M, it seems like a lot of effort to transfer, not even factoring in moving cities, leaving behind friends, etc.
