i have a bachelors in international relations with the goal of becoming a international banker. More specifically an international accountant with one day becoming a controller. I've discovered that i need an accounting degree and possibly a J.D in the near future.

i have no accounting background and am asking if going to an extension like UCB accounting or UCLA accounting would cover the prerequisites for grad school in accounting. Are these courses better than say courses at a community college in accounting.

The end goal is not merely to get a CPA but to do bank auditing where law is involved, hence why i've chose the MA in accounting as it incorporates banking law classes in the program, which really intrigues me.

my question is are the extension courses sufficient for grad school prerequisites.
