Masters in Computer science when I have an Information Tech background

I would love to do a Masters in Computer science but I did Information Technology for my undergraduate. How possible is that and do you have any ideas of which universities can allow such a thing? please help. Thanks.

Might be rough. I don't know exactly what an IT major studies but CS is really theoretical. Can you expound upon your coursework?

It would be very, very difficult unless you took a substantial number of CS courses as an undergrad.

It's pretty common to go from technical to business, but it's very difficult and rare to go in the other direction.

I switched fields into CS (from neuro & cog sci). Try taking a few CS classes as a special student, or, if there's a school that offers one in your area, doing a post-bac in CS.

My undergrad major was Computer Info Sys. I worried just like you. I didn’t have any problem getting the admission in decent ranking schools (USC, UPENN, Penn State). But funding would be tough. If you want funding, i seriously suggest you to apply on 50-100 schools.
