Masters in Epidemiology

If I want to do my master's in epidemiology, is it necessary for me to take classes in that field during undergrad? Considering that I am a major in Human biology.

I am a prof in the epidemiology section of an Ivy League school. Not at all necessary to have had epi classes, but you should have some argument for why you want to major in epi. For me, I have read lots of epi books after graduating with my BA, I wrote about that in my essay.

You should have a good bio background, and a good math background. We like to at least see calculus, and stats is a plus.

The short answer is no, since few colleges even offer such courses. Typically, of those that do offer them, they have an attached graduate school of public health. Check out the admission requirements for Epi programs at Hopkins and Harvard and a few other top public health schools.
