Masters in Financial Engineering

To get into a top graduate MFE program, is there any major that is viewed as "better" than others? Like math, physics, CS, econ, engineering (any particular discipline better than others)?

Right now, I'm in biomedical engineering, but I was wondering how much that degree might inhibit my ability to get into Haas or Columbia for a MFE degree. Also, will future employers care that I was a BME major, instead of something like EE or CS?

I think any math / science / engineering degree that has a lot of math, especially the higher-level ones are considered better. Any finance, statistics, economics would be good too, but i'd still say, math is the most important part.

I agree with tuna846 that math/CS is probably the most useful. Engineering or physics can be pretty good too.
