<p>I'm entertaining the idea of getting a masters degree in IR or IS. I feel that it would help me become better cultured and more well rounded. This perspective would make me more competitive in an increasingly global economy. </p>
<p>My educational background
CC from age 16 to 21. Self funded. I a W in Calc 1 when I was 16, F and a D in Calc 2 when I was 19, a D in honors calc 1 and 2 at 19 a C and a B in both respectively later. Took business calc, statistics and discrete math for "fun" and to redeem myself and got As in it. Took a W in public speaking during my last term as it wasn't needed.<br>
Transferred to a top as a math/econ major, minored in statistics and accounting. Math/Stats/Econometrics GPA was around a 2.8, everything else around a 3.8. Uni GPA just over a 3.4, no repeats or Ws at uni.</p>
<p>Cum GPA without repeats factored in is about a 3.5, with them factored in it's around a 3.3. Non-Math GPA around a 3.8. Total units taken and passed ~185 semester units. </p>
<p>I took two courses with an international focus, Multinational Finance(A+) and Global Economics(A) and enjoyed them greatly.</p>
<p>Current work experience - about to start an internal consulting role(senior analyst position as a compus hire who interned there previously) at an F500 firm with substantial international exposure. I will try to get an externship to one of their foreign subsidiaries. On top of this I had experience working at 5 different places(two F500) and was involved in the leadership of two different on campus clubs.</p>
<p>In my spare time, I'm studying for the CPA, CFA and am I'm teaching myself multiple languages. I want to knock out one or two acheivements each year(e.g. all four sections of the CPA, one section of the CFA, the basics of one language, a new programming language). I am a HUGE knowledge addict and am fairly well cultured, however I am not a good scholar if that makes any sense. </p>
<p>I took a practice GRE exam through Kaplan going in cold(zero prep and almost no sleep the night before) and scored in the 70th percentile on the English and 90th percentile on the Quant. I have documented ADHD and usually am not on medication. I could probably get some sort of accommodation (or at least actually USE medication for a change), Realistically I expect to score at approximately the 80th percentile for the English and the 95th percentile for the math if I adequately prep and am well rested. This would place me at about the 90th percentile overall.</p>
<p>Any advice? Other that working more or less FT since I was 16, taking 20ish units a term and being involved on campus I have nothing(no research experience)</p>
<p>If it helps, I won't need financial aid. I plan on saving around 20-30k a year just to pay for grad school.</p>
