I've been considering pursuing my dream of working at the Library of Congress and I was wondering if anyone has any experience in schools that offer graduate degrees for library science and/or actually obtaining a job at the LOC?

I am currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited master’s program. If you want to work in government libraries, I recommend you take a lot of coursework that will prepare you for federal librarianship. The top library schools are Illinois, UNC-Chapel Hill, Syracuse, Michigan, and Washington. Local library schools in the DC area also include Maryland and Catholic University of America. It doesn’t matter where you attend (don’t go into a lot of debt for the degree!). However, if your ultimate goal is the Library of Congress, then I highly recommend the top-ranked schools for networking and breadth of coursework.
