Masters in MS& E now or MBA later?

Just wondering about Stanford's MS & E program.

The main question is....is it worth spending the $$ on that MS & E terminal Masters degree to hone management skills or work for 3-4 years and then go for the MBA?

(ECE undergrad degree)

Is there a job that you really want to do, and the only thing preventing you from getting that job is a MS&E education? If you want to be a manager, it’s unlikely you can do so with a MS&E degree but without industry experience. If you want to switch to a field like finance, MS&E might be a great option. If the lack of a MS&E education is the only obstacle in your path, go for the degree, otherwise, try to find a job. A graduate degree, even from Stanford, doesn’t guarantee you a job in two years. Take the job now if you have an offer.
