Masters in Operations Research/Financial Engineering

Hi everyone, I know this may be a little premature coming from someone who hasn't even started university, but is going to this fall in the UK. I have been accepted at LSE and Imperial for Maths and Economics, and Maths with Statistics for Finance respectively and I am very keen on doing OR/FE in the US (at this point of time unless my interests change).

I'm having a tough time deciding which university I should go to, but I'm leaning towards LSE because I do enjoy economics(especially the mathematical side of it) and also for the fact that LSE would (hopefully) develop a 'broader' view of the world since it is a social science university by taking classes outside my department/at other UoL colleges (my degree has outside options and I'm sort of interested in politics) and the LSE100 course does seem very practical and useful (that's what the website says). However, Imperial is highly regarded for maths but I honestly don't know if I can stomach a completely mathsy course (kinda answering my own question here, but...)

Well, basically I'd like to find out if I wanted to do a MFE or OR in the US (hopefully top unis), which uni I should go to and which modules I should take that would sufficiently prepare me for a masters.

I also apologise for debating with myself through the use of brackets and thanks so much for your time!
