I started working full time at a law firm immediately following undergrad last year. I quickly found it wasn’t right for me. I’m continuing to save money while I’m here in the hopes that I’ll be able to afford whichever school is the right fit. I’m seriously just beginning my research here as I wasn’t considering grad school until this year (might’ve tried harder to up my GPA had I known). So, any advice you can offer would be great.
Anyway, I’m looking in Colorado and California as I have connections in those states that would make the move easier. I’ve yet to take the GRE but obviously will soon. I’m applying to be an Americorps VISTA for the coming year. I would like to begin school in Fall 2017. I’m not aiming for UCLA or anything, but I am looking for a quality program (looking at Sociocultural Diversity at UCI and Community and Behavioral Health at CU Anschutz)… Are these schools realistic for someone finding interest so late?
I’m looking to volunteer a bunch and gain research experience so any tips would be great. As I said, I’m just starting here! Thanks in advance!
