Hi, I’m currently an Econ major, math minor, and I think I want to go to graduate school for statistics. The math I will have taken is calc 2, calc 3, diff eq, linear algebra, intro to higher mathematics, real analysis, and probability theory. I was wondering if this would be enough math for me to get my masters in statistics. Thanks.
Yes! There are many statistics programs that only require three semesters of calculus and a semester of linear algebra (good ones - like Columbia’s and NYU’s). You’ve got more and classes that are actually pretty helpful for statisticians (DIFFEQ, analysis, probability) so I think you’ll be fine.
