Hey everyone so I’ve been stressing out a lot lately because I’m really afraid I’m going to end up at a school I’m not really happy with and I’m feeling like maybe I should do some more research and send in some last minute applications.
My number one is Vanderbilt which I know is a reach for everyone and I’m very unsure about getting in. I’ve also applied to Northwestern, Boston University, and U of M which now I feel won’t be the right fit for me. I’ve been accepted to Boston College which is a contender but if I don’t get a substantial amount of financial aid I won’t be able to go to and overall I’m unsure about the school for me in general and I’ve been accepted to Michigan State which is my safety that I’m not super interested in.
Here are my stats:
ACT: Composite(34) English(35) Reading (36) Math (31) Science (34) I took the December test so we’ll see if anything improves

Essays
CA: I think my common app essay is very strong I’ve had a lot of people including an AP English teacher read over it
Letters of Rec
1- My math teacher she has had me for three years so she knows me well, math is not my best subject so she's seen me work hard for my A's so that will hopefully be good
2- APUSH teacher who knows me quite well, history was also my favorite class so he's seen me learning something I'm passionate about so I think it will be good
3-My yearbook advisor who loves me and knows me really well. She has seen me in a leadership position so that's good. I think she will write me a really good one
I do plan on applying for financial aid
I plan on majoring in Political Science
Flag. For my ideal school I want there to be a good balance of social life and impressive academics and not too big but also not too small. I love sports so I would like a decent sports culture. I’m not into super urban schools where there’s not really a campus you’re just in some buildings in the middle of a city but I don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere. I plan to study abroad so good study abroad options is important and I would prefer mostly smaller to mid size classes. I would need a school where either I could earn some merit aid or where they have very good financial aid and I would prefer to stay in the Midwest, southeast, or east coast regions.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
