What would be some good college matches for me?

UCLA, UCBerkeley , UCSD, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, and you never know with the top schools but you would be just as likely as anyone else to get into Harvard, Stanford(especially with soccer) , MIT etc

Thanks for the opinion. Many are saying I should apply to the UC system. Not sure how their admissions process works but I am genuinely interested.

Definitely look at some UCs. I’d also recommend Northwestern, Wash U, U Chicago where I think you’d have good chances. And you’d be competitive for all the Ivies. The good thing is you have a lot of options.

Good luck!

What if I am not a Californian resident? Will that negatively affect my chances?

sorta. they obviously look at californians first, but they accept a good number of non-californians each year. i think with your stats you’d have a fair shot.

Would I have decent chances at UChicago? It seems just as competitive as an Ivy. NW bio rankings aren’t the best either.

The UC’s have their own application due Nov 30 which is the same for all 10 you just choose which ones to send your app to. It’s like the common app but you fill out all your classes and grades… The essays are relatively short and similar to the common app… there are two and they must add up to be less than 1000 words. I’d say in general someone out of state applying will need to have better stats to be admitted but 33 ACT is definitely well above the avg for any of them.

Well thanks for the info! I will certainly delve deeper into that subject.

Tufts, Tulane, Michigan, UC’s (UCSD especially), Boston University, NYU, UNC-CH, UVA, UT-Austin, Rice, USouthernCali, Emory, Vanderbilt, UDub, WashU, etc honestly you have a lot of opportunities! Not saying any of these are guaranteed but you have more than a good chance at many of em! Haha have fun with your college search sir!

Wow, thank you for such an extensive answer! Appreciate it.
