Hello,

I am a senior in high school and I really need some help in finding a college that's right for me. I am looking for a college that has an actual campus, has a good International Business program (as well as study abroad), music business, commercial music, musical theatre (very musical as you can see), and a good music performance program. I also want to be able to minor in theatre or music at this college. Although I live in Florida, I am looking for a college in the New York region. It does not have to be in New York... but in that tri-state area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, etc.). I don't mind if some of them are in Florida as well. I do not mind if the college is public. I am a Christian but the college does not have to be a Christian one. If it is, it would be a bonus. As for tuition, I would want to look at many scholarships and hopefully pay around 30k.
If you guys could possibly find any university that fits my criteria (even if it's a little push or some necessities are not met), that would be amazing. Anything helps.

Thanks!

Also, fyi, I have a 3.5 GPA and a 4.4 weighted GPA. My SAT score as of now is 1570 and ACT is 24. I think I did better on the ACT so I am going to retake it and get a better score.

Can you clarify?

Are you saying that your parents have said that they will pay $30k per year? IF not, how much will they pay each year?

Basically, I am trying to get as many scholarships and financial aid as I can get. My parents and I have a deal that they will pay half of my college tuition but the other half is up to me. A college that costs around 30k and meets my criteria above would be ideal for me. If a college costs a bit more but I am able to get some money back from scholarships, then that’s fine as well. Hope this clarifies.

Do you qualify for Bright Futures? IF so, then a Florida public will be best.

My thoughts exactly. I believe I do, yes. However do you know of any Florida public colleges that offer what I listed above? And I would not want to limit myself to Florida just because of Bright Futures… which is why I also want to look at colleges near New York

Why New York in particular?

Before I moved to Florida 2 years ago, I lived in New Jersey. This past summer, I went to New York and got to juggle 2 jobs. I was able to have a bit of independence and I discovered that New York is a place of opportunity. I love the city and feel that I could really have a great career there or near there.

Several schools in the State University of NY (SUNY) system have total costs under $30K, even for out-of-state students. SUNY New Paltz has an International Business major.
