i dont have any awards or anything but i aced my law course as a soph with mostly juniors and seniors and i want to do something like the LJST major at amherst so maybe that'll improve my chances there? idk HELP?

as a senior who didnt care about college until this year its nice to see that you care so early. my sister volunteered at a hospital for 150+ hours and got a really nice rec letter to any colleges she asked them for. i would suggest you do something similar but other than that i mean just keep those grades up and study hard for your SAT's whether its you by yourself or with a tutor just do it!!! keep up the hard work and all those nice e.c's and i personally believe great things are ahead of ya. last piece of advice on joining math team or whatever...do what you love and love what you do. Good luck!

Don't worry so early. It's sort of scary, because kids that worry this early end up tailoring themselves to colleges from the beginning, and I don't think that's right. It's better to pursue what you want on your own whims. Packaging yourself for an institution is difficult, and if you end up getting rejected, you will feel what you did for the last 4 years was for naught.

Don't set yourself up for failure like that. :)
