Hey everyone
I'm a junior who is trying to form/finalize my college application list.
I have 2 or 3 reach schools, UNC OOS, UVA OOS, and Penn and 2 safety schools, Penn State (IS) and St. Joe's. I only have 2 schools on my list that i consider match schools, Richmond and Elon.
If you could suggest some other match schools for me I would really appreciate it. Here's my stats:
GPA (weighted): 4.18
SAT: 1420/2200
ECs: volunteer coach, pr club, service club, NHS, spanish honor society, math honor society
APs: 6 including senior year courses (US History, Euro History, Chem, Stat, Calc AB, Lit) and taking Eng. Lang test this year (independent study)

I'm interested in studying business. I'd prefer a big school but i'm open to smaller ones too. I'd like to stay close to the east coast, preferably Virigina/NC/Maryland but I'm open to any suggestions for wherever.

if it is one of the branch Penn State school, why don't you just apply to University Park the main one? Smeal College of Business is really good

yes i did mean In State by "IS". villanova is a great school that i would seriously consider if it wasn't right in my backyard. i live REALLY close to it. any other advice?

I've got this solved for you. Miami of Ohio. My d.'s results are in. She got into several other nice schools, and choice is now down to Elon and Miami (OH), and it's a very tough decision. Schools are of similar quality but very different size and location. Check it out. The students there LOVE it.

Where did all this Penn State talk come from? Penn State is no where near the calibur of Elon or UR. Penn State a huge state school that takes A LOT of admits. It's their honors program that brings up their admit numbers and stats. No personal attention, the work load is not challenging, and the campus is pretty gross. JMU has been tanking for years. Wake, Davidson, Furman, LeHigh, Rollins - all comparable schools. UVA and UNC have both stated that Davidson, UofR, and Elon have been taking many of their kids - and they have set up planning committees to deal with this issue. Best of luck in your search!
