I already have my reaches mostly figured out, but could you guys recommend some match schools for me?
GPA- 3.99 UW. 5 APs taken, all 5s.
Subject Test- 2 800s (1 on Math 2). 1 770, 1 750.
ACT- 35 C
SAT- 2320 superscored, 2280 single sitting.
Looking for matches based on stats, I’ve got pretty good ECs. Money isn’t an issue, though I would love to know of schools that are generous with merit aid.
And I obviously already have an idea of what schools I like and stuff, I just want to know what caliber of school represents a match or for that matter, a safety for me. Obviously the Ivy’s and other top schools will always be a reach.
We don’t know what you like - urban/suburban/rural, size, major, LAC/Univers. etc. Perhaps you mentioned all this on another thread, but I don’t read all threads - not even close. I have limited time.
If you are looking for a safety that could provide good money, consider Pittsburgh. They offer rolling admissions and good potential for a bit of merit aid.
For match schools without knowing more info, I could definitely recommend U Rochester (a private mid sized heavy research school). It’s where my middle son goes. He had similar stats and loves the place. He’s about to enter his senior year now… Merit aid was a nice perk too.
Yea, totally get that you have no idea what I like, I just want to know what sort of level of school represents a match, safety, or reach for me, perhaps I should have clarified that. Thanks for your tip on Pitt and Rochester.
I just posted this admissions video in another similar thread… You could easily take a look at URoc to see if you have interest:
