Match schools

Well seeing as my last thread was torn apart and i realize i need to be more realistic...

What are some good match and safty schools for someone like me

780 math IIC
800 physics
750 Biology M

3.6/4.0 gpa

Taken the toughest classes and math at OSU

not a whole bunch of EC's, Was in clubs my fresh/soph year
Have a big intrest in astronymy and chess
Play tournament chess, do well
Bought my own telescope taught several classes at my school upon my teachers request, over astronomy.

Need some good match/ safty schools and reaches as well for physics

Or just any science/tech schools.... im starting to think I cant get in anywhere and i will have to go to a huge state school which i really dont want to

try MIT.. might be reachy because of your verbal & writing, but with your math and science scores and clubs and all that, why not go for it?

thanks ... at least on person said a little more then def no lol...I had an interview and I seemed really excited, me and the guy got along well, and he seemed impressed by my devotion to astronomy/physics and my intrest in them... My verbal scores are low and its a long story but basically i didnt know what a pronoun adverb were untill last year.. my fault too read books in all my classes EVERY DAY, and seeing as I just now took my sats and im a senior i cant really improve that much :( However i was under the impretion that i def couldnt even get into those schools, that i shouldnt even apply AHHHHH my last post's reply was DEF NOT even a DEF not to U of Chicago

have you considered Carnegie Mellon? Could be a good reachy match for you

You could look at some liberal arts colleges with strong science programs.

Why a libral arts college whats the advantage of going to one...
Also thanks for the idea carnegie wasnt on my list but after looking into it i might apply...

Many high quality liberal arts colleges receive fewer applications than universities, because students think that universities are more exciting, and because lots of LACs are in small towns and rural areas. If someone wants merit scholarship money, LACs are a great place to look. The less intense competition for admission is why I suggested them. Just a thought.

Yeah, Carnegie Mellon sounds like a great match for you, better than a liberal arts college.
