Match schools

I’m currently a high school junior and I’m starting to look at colleges. I want to go into scientific research and attend a fairly large university. I’m having trouble finding match schools. Looking mostly in the north east and Midwest potentially west coast. Also in eastern Canada My stats are
3.98 unweighted gpa.
2nd in my class
1 AP sophomore year (ap comp sci a 5 on exam.)
5 aps this year(APUSH stats calc ab (will take bc next year) bio, lang and comp)
Also taking spanish 4 and IB physics
Took almost all honers class in sophomore years and freshman year.
ECs:
Intern in a chemistry lab last summer. Will probably be published in the next couple of months.
Soccer and Crew for all of high school
Irish dance since age 7
Speech and debate have won gavels in model un and won state wide speech competitions all of high school
Math team made regional leader board in Mandelbrot all of high school
First robotics all of high school will be lead programmer senior year

Budget? Intended major? Test scores?

Psat 1420 with no studying
Intended major is chemistry or physics
HAven’t discussed buget with my parents because they run their own business and income is variable. I’m planning on casting a board net then narrowing down later.

I would encourage you to talk to your parents first about budget, at least in general terms. What they can pay, if you qualify for need based aid or if you need to chase merit scholarships.

There are several threads on merit aid in the financial aid forum, so go read through those. The Net Price Calculators on the college websites won’t be accurate for your family because your parents have a business. You need to find out from them what they are truly ready, willing, and able to commit to paying before you spend much more time looking at colleges.
