Do you need FA? What do you want to study?

Yes I do need financial aid, I’ll take what I can get. The rest are going to be loans, however my parents will be paying for all my expenses. I’m planning on majoring in Political Science.</p>

<p>If you do raise your SAT, you could get into some decent schools.
You might get some merit aid at UAlabama. I’m looking at the school and quite frankly it looks awesome. You may get a small scholarship with your current numbers, but being a 2000 you would get a fairly significant award. Probably not full tuition, but it could make it similar to in-state rates.

Haha yea I thought my GPA was pretty good, until I heard horror stories about people ending up with a 3.6669. As for UAlabama I don’t think I wont to go to college that deep into the South.</p>

definetly take ACT and PSAT, these are musts for good schools. also enter some national competitions, you never know, you might get an award. looks great on resume. also, to quote a previous replier, upenn is ivy league, (really good) (hard to get into with that resume) (no offense)

None taken, I doubt I’ll apply to an Ivys at all, I’m waiting for grad school! :D</p>

LOL sabortooth. Penn State, not UPenn. Penn State would be a good match for the OP, UPenn would not.</p>

<p>Coastal Carolina University would be a match with your stats, it’s got Greek life, and it’s by some really nice beaches. A lot of people from NJ go there. TCNJ or Drew would be good safeties, they both have pretty campuses. I know Drew has Greek life, but idk about TCNJ. If you can get your SATs up Rutgers would be a safety, too. I’ve noticed that an in-state with SATs over 2000 is pretty much automatically accepted there. If you want you can PM me.

Wow, I am definitely going to check out CCU. I’ve also heard amazing things about Drew but haven’t really thought to consider it. Thanks for the input. I’ll be applying to TCNJ and Rutgers of course though, living in New Jersey, there just kind of “default” colleges to apply to, haha.</p>
