My senior year is approaching which means college applications. I already have a few schools in mind: Syracuse University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Rochester, and University of Colorado Boulder. I go to a public school in Colorado, but this is my third high school. My freshman year I went to a rigorous private boarding school. My current UW GPA is a 3.3 and my WGPA is a 3.45-- I know not that great. I took the ACT in April and I got a 27, but I am planning to retake it because I scored ridiculously low on the science portion. This time around I hope to get a 29 or 30. I also took the new SAT and scored a 680 in math and a 620 in english and I got a 6 on my essay. My ECs are sparse but I have been a part of student council, on the basketball team, and I do volunteer activities.I’m planning on getting a recommendation from my French and biology teachers both I had during my junior year and will have during my senior year. I took AP Lang and AP Euro my junior year and scored a 3 on both of my exams. Next year I am taking Honors PreCalc, AP Lit, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, Honors French 3, and psychology. I don’t really have any hooks aside from being hispanic, and also a first generation college student. So I just wanted to know if the schools I’ve chosen are realistic or if I need to aim lower. Thanks!
Also I’m planning on majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in French. I’m also taking the M Biology, Physics, and French SAT Subject Tests
