wow, this is a very impressive app. looks like an extremely competitive school as well- ill take a shot

MIT EA- reach
Caltech EA- slight reach (more stats based)
Columbia- slight reach
Cornell- match
Harvard- reach
Princeton- reach
Stanford- slight reach
UC Berkeley- safety (in state)

MIT and Caltech would be foolish to reject you. Being female is an enormous bonus, especially since you have better credentials than most male applicants.

oo that is true, i forgot about the female part. you will get into either MIT or Caltech

student2007:

UCB: Safe Match

Match -- Rice, Duke,
safety -- Wellesley, Smith

MIT EA- Match
Caltech EA- Match, stronger than MIT
Columbia University- Match
Cornell University- Strong Match
Harvard University- Match
Princeton University- Match
Stanford University- Match
UC Berkeley- Safety

That said, I rate a little differently than other CCers. Yes, no one at these top schools can really be a "match," but I say you're a match in the sense there is nothing you can do to significantly improve your chances. If anyone was to get into these schools, it would be you. Good luck!

she could play a sport, or join the school newspaper, or get some leadership positions, do some volunteering.... a lot of stuff to be more well rounded

Well rounded is not always better...some colleges look for a clear passion, and this girl has that down to the letter.

If you're well rounded, you risk being spread too thin. Are you participating in activities so you can just get into college? Adcoms can easily tell when an applicant does that.

And by the way, she's had three years experience of leadership positions...Volunteering is so cliche and common, it's almost embarassing to put it on your application nowadays. But hey, if volunteering really is your passion and interest, put it down like everyone else.

I definitely don't think its embarrassing to put volunteering on your college applications. Even if it's not your "passion". Nothing says, "Hey, I'm somebody who will be active and involved in a community, and look, I've got compassion!" like volunteering. Sure, you get extra points if the activity is uncommon, but just because a lot of people volunteer does not make it worthless. It's all about why you do it and what you specifically get out of it.

I'll try to direct the conversation back to the subject...

UC Berkeley- Safe Match

It's incredible how many math courses you've taken from EPGY...if you choose Stanford, you're going to get a lot of credit!! Stanford counts heavily on EPGY, since it's such an outstanding program...along with SUMac and The Ross Program, etc. You have a really good chance everywhere!

As a Californian applicant, you should probably look into the UC schools, which are great matches/safeties. Their regent scholars programs are excellent.
