<p>I've had a lot of trouble figuring out what kind of schools might accept me because...well, very few students have a profile like mine, with so few ECs, so I was hoping I could get peoples' advice on what kind of schools might be matches/safeties for me? I am very confused :S</p>
<p>Recently, I've been gravitating more towards LACs like Swarthmore, Reed, Haverford, Oberlin, and Barnard--particularly Swarthmore and Reed, which seem to have a sort of intellectual atmosphere that appeals to me, so, um, similar schools that are more in line with someone with my stats? My other major criterion is that the school has to have a decent science/math program--obviously the quality is going to be different at a small LAC than at one of the big research universities, but I know that some LACs /are/ more science-oriented than others.</p>

<p>Asian-American female, attending a public magnet.</p>
<p>Rank: 29/436
GPA: 3.75 UW / 4.396 W</p>
<p>Taking out freshman grades, GPA is 3.938 UW / 4.75 W. Not so much an upward trend here as an upward leap :></p>
<p>Scores:
SAT: 2380 (800 CR, 780 M, 800 W)
PSAT: 234 - probable National Merit Semifinalist
SAT II: 800 Chem, also planning to take Math II and one other - probably Lit
AP: 5 Bio and World Hist.; waiting on Calc BC, French, CS, Chem, APUSH, and Lang</p>
<p>Junior schedule: 7 APs (ones listed above + Calc AB) plus a "post-AP" class - Chemical Engineering. Emphasis on the air-quotes there.</p>
<p>Senior schedule: AP Gov, Econ, Lit, Physics C; PE; Georgia Tech Calculus II and II; Magnet Research (required).</p>
<p>Extracurriculars - oh boy. :S
Piano - 10 years, planning to cut a CD for any colleges that accept that kind of thing
Math team (10-12)
Inkwell/Creative writing club (11-12)
Computer club (11-12)
NHS, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, etc. (11-12)
Also doing an internship at Georgia State over the summer.</p>
