matches/safety

can anyone suggest some matches and safety schools? im having a hard time finding those :)

brief profile:

gpa:4.0
sat:2200
rank: top 5% (maybe even top 3%) - very competitive high school

ECs - strong but i guess just as strong as the others, quite a few leadership positions , debating club, sports for 4 years, etc etc

very strong academically, good at writing

international student (canadian) asking for financial aid

reaches: cornell, upenn, mit
high match:notredame

interested in both business and engineering, in that order of preference

please suggest !!!! i will be eternally grateful

if you raised your SAT to 2250 or maybe even 2300 you could get into Cornell and UPENN most likely. NYU, UCLA, UC berkeley, are matches
rest of ivies should be considered as well.

Some of the Claremont colleges would be a good match/high match, like Claremont Mckenna (business) and Harvey Mudd (engineering). If you’re interested in econ you could try U of Chicago.

do they really give that much weight to sat scores? cause ive been advised not to bother retaking? :S

any more suggestions welcome :)

For safeties, a lot of the top state schools.

If you are female, Smith College’s Picker Engineering Program has a phenomenal approach to teaching engineering, and its engineering program is superb. Smith is known for academic excellence, terrific mentoring and available, committed professors.

Also, Smith no longer requires SAT and ACT scores.

You can find more information on Smith’s engineering program at: [Smith College: Picker Engineering Program](http://www.science.smith.edu/departments/Engin/what.php) and at: [Smith College: Picker Engineering Program](http://www.science.smith.edu/departments/Engin/index.php)

but alas, i am male

If you are open to big universities: Michigan (high match), U of Washington (match), Ohio State and Penn State (match/safety)

If you’re looking for financial aid as an international, you can forget Michigan and most other state controlled universities. Try top privates.

such as?

10 char

bump ba bump bump

Are you seriously suggesting that Mudd and CMC are matches for an international student? They would probably be low reaches even if this student were domestic.
