It seems like the ivies and top universities are often spoken about here, where the minimum SAT score is stressed (but not required) as 2200. So what are some good schools where a 2000-2200 is more of the normal range of applicants?

2000-2200 is a very competitive range for most top ranked colleges. Besides HYPSMC, that range would be suitable for any prestigious school. But even if you are in that range, it does not disqualify you from HYPSMC.

that range is approx. equivalent to 1330-1470.

I'm not a big fan of the USNWR rankings since some people might actually pick a college on prestige instead of personal fit, but they are pretty much a list of college in order of descending SAT ranges. Try using USRWR rankings for the names of colleges and then look the colleges up in "Princeton Review's Top 357 Colleges" or "Fiske Guide to Colleges".
