<p>In Boston they had (not sure if they are still in business) a wonderful system of matching roomates, where people discuss what's important to them and then they reach out to eachother.....since Penn State does not have this system I thought I'd get it started FOR INCOMING FRESHMAN. This system helps pair up compatible people only if each person is honest with their answers. Good luck to everyone!</p>

what is the most important characteristic in a friend…I honestly think being able to laugh and have fun is really important because if you can’t do that, why are you even friends?
what is the one thing that bothers you most about people…immaturity
why did you choose Penn State? …I really liked the campus when I went to visit and its close to home but not too close. It’s also a great school.
are you from PA or out of state…PA
are you passionate about talking politics/not so interested…depends on the issue, but usually not really all that interested
are you an average student/above average…in HS, a little above average. I care alot about school.
do you know your major? business…I want to work for a pro sports team, and I’m not sure what to major in yet
do you prefer being with someone of same religion/if so what religion…Christian
are you outgoing/shy…shy at first, but after a while, if I’m comfortable around the people I’m with, more outgoing

what are your worries/concerns about starting college…well PSU is a big party school obviously, and that’s not exactly my thing, so I’m worried about meeting people who are going to do more than get wasted every weekend. anyone?

<p>many other schools have questionnaires that they ask incoming freshman to match roomates…but Penn State does not.</p>

<p>My older son’s school did a stellar job matching suite-mates. (It was done “by hand” as opposed to computer.) He lived with his freshman suite-mates all four years. My PSU son was randomly assigned someone from his high school. If they’d had any interest in living together they would have requested it.</p>

what is your favorite activity? multimedia in general. I love photography and videography and editing and things like that. music as well, but i’m not going to keep anyone awake with an instrument if you’re considering me
how would you describe yourself? I work pretty hard, but at the same time like to hang out. i’m going to be making a big effort to get out and meet people and join clubs and such so I won’t necessarily be in my room all the time
