I intend to major MSE in college, can someone introduce this course? e.g. How difficult is this course, is it interesting, which college do you recommend, you experience in MSE if applicable? Thx~ =)

It may feel a lot more drier than other engineering disciplines, because there are no “applications” like computers, aeroplanes, buildings etc.

…until you realize that everything in our world uses materials and some applications use or may use in the future specifically tailored materials.

MSE is sort of a combination of physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, and chemical engineering. I probably left out a few others… It is a very broad area and you can get into it from a lot of different starting points, not just majoring in it. The ones I mentioned are common ones.

As for colleges, that is tough. Look for an ABET accredited program that fits your academic record and is affordable to you. There are plenty of good programs out there.
