Material Science Engineer?

I realize that it's a wise career choice, just had more questions than one and if anyone can answer, it would be much appreciated! I am currently a junior looking and dreading the college search!
Not sure where to start when looking for scholarships, but if you can lead me in the right direction to look for such said scholarships, I'd appreciate that.
Here are some questions I have;

How is the job outlook in this field look?

What are the main courses that I will be taking as a freshman in college?

What courses do I need to focus on while I'm a senior? (Physics and Pre-Cal I'm assuming)

What minor's come along with majoring in Material Science and Engineering? Or does it differ with college to college?

What's the salary within this profession? Keep in mind, I do plan on getting my masters and hopefully my doctorate. But let's just say masters for now.

What are the pro's and con's in this field?

I was recently interested in Environmental Engineering, but as I found out it doesn't really deal with Renewable Energy, that is where I came across MSE. Just some info as to what I'd like to specialize within (Fuel Cells, Energy, Environment, etc..).
Thank you for your time, and your advice/guidance is and always will be appreciated!
