materials engineers?

<p>hey...anybody who's in materials engineering...what exactly is it and what do you do as a materials engineer? do you like what you're doing? is it hard? how's the job outlook? basically i just need all the info on this major/field. i know i can get this from <a href="http://www.bls.gov%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.bls.gov&lt;/a> but i guess i need some real students/people to tell me their opinions about this career. thanks!</p>
