Has anyone who asked for matierials to be mailed to them rather than go to orientation gotten them?

Also, will doing this ensure that I will get the worst classes?

Have you called USC? Because they had a lot to say when I was planning to do this rather than go to orientation. There are so many details you have to work out (like your advisor, registering, placement tests etc)

No, i havent gotten the materials yet. They said they would mail it out in june, so im not worried yet. did you get your materials?

That's not what I meant. You have to call USC to ask about finding your advisor to register your classes in the first place. I made about a half dozen calls to various people at USC before my parents finally caved and decided it would be much easier for me to just go to orientation. People were suprisingly unhelpful. So, no, I'm not doing the 'materials request' thing.
