<p>Is the materials science program at Purdue mostly Asian/international students? Its a small program and I assume that I will be somewhat close with the other people in this major. I'm from the Chicago area and was wondering if there would be other people from the midwest in it.</p>
<p>All the Engineering programs have some sort of diversity. If you think you will be uncomfortable around Asians/Internationals then don’t consider coming to Purdue. It sounds harsh but Purdue has one of the largest International student bodies in the nation.</p>
