If I was planning on taking the Math Level 2 SATs tomorrow but I'm like completly UNPREPARED, would it be better for me to take the Math Level 1 and then take the Math 2 in December?

But the UC Applications are due at the end of this month and I have to take 2 SAT Subject Test and they don't count Math 1 as one. Should I just try to take the Math 2? Or do the Math 1 and tell them I'm taking Math 2 in December?

Also, if I do end up taking Math 1, how would I put that on my app. that I'm taking Math 2 in December?? Or should I just change the subject test to like.. Literature?

Yes, definitely. You get a big booklet with all the SAT Subject Tests inside. You are allowed to change your mind about what tests you want to take.

Good. I can't believe how much of this stuff on the SAT Math IIC I've forgotten, yet I'm sustaining a solid 98.7 (highest in my class, by a long shot, second highest average is an 87.5) in AP Calculus AB with a very rigorous teacher. I, personally, think the subject tests are a crap measure of your ability in the subject areas. But that's just me.

I agree; I did trig in my sophomore year, and I hardly remember anything. Someone suggested that I take the Math Level 1 instead, but I did geometry in 8th grade.

They need a new math test with higher-level material like calculus. Math Level 3. I'd take that in a heartbeat. :P

Does anyone know if it looks bad to not take a math subject test? I feel like I can probably get over a 600 on the Math Level 2, but that's not at all impressive for the schools I'm shooting for.

What if I took English Lit instead? I've also taken Bio and US History, and I will be taking a foreign language test tomorrow as well.
