Hi,
my academic advisor told me i needed to take the 10 series of math, however I'm in the honors chemistry sequence and one of the requirements for chem 6ch is math 20B. So was this something my advisor overlooked? Like do i actually have to take the 20 series instead of 10?

Ask your academic advisor. That’s what they’re there for, right?

Most likely though, you do have to take the Math 20 series because I’ve heard that honors chemistry is HEAVILY math/physics-based, and therefore a more hardcore math series you must take. Something like that.

They probably didnt expect you to take the honors sequence. Those suggestions are the same for everyone in that major i believe. Most likely you’ll need to take the 20 series.

Dude, why are you in honors Chem? I recommend regular Chem and just shooting for an A. Do not under estimate the honors series. Its hard as hell not just because of the material but the competition.

If you’re not sure about your major and you did well in AP Calc, take 20 series anyway. It will open more doors for electives and changing major.

If you’re sure about major and you squeezed by AP Calc, take 10 series.

Thanks for the responses ya i think ill take the 20 series to be safe
@essenar: i got a 5 on the ap chem exam so i have to take the honors series :(

^Why does that mean you have to take the honors series?
