Math 115 (Calculus)

How hard is this class? Is it easy to achieve an A?

Match 115 is easy, but somehow, the University complicates it. A B is pretty easy, but an A is tough.

How do they complicate it?

Tough exams. First two midterms are easy, but the final is quite difficult.

The exams are purposely tricky, the curve is relatively harsh and the competition is stiff.

Is there anyway one could opt out of this class if they wanted to apply to the business school?

No, you can't. Why are you so scared of it? If you can't handle this class, you shouldn't even think about going into the b-school anyway.

I heard from somebody if you can't pull of a B in that class, your automatically rejected from Ross. I was just curious how difficult it would be to achieve an a/b

A b is really easy to get. A lot of people get A's also, although you definitely have to put for some effort.

So it's not impossible to achieve an A

It's never impossible to get an A in a class.

Its not that bad. Do the past exams - and learn from all of them. A B is easy to get then as most of the paper will be modeled of these past exams.

How do you get past exams?

"It's never impossible to get an A in a class."

I've seen teachers not give out A's in my graduate math courses before.

Past exams are all available on the course website.
