Math 133-is this similar with pre-calculus?

I researched some Mcgill courses today.
I found that I have to take math 133-even though I'm done with AP cal BC.
I saw the description of the course and I thought it was similar with pre-cal.
Can I exempted from this course?
Or is the course really easy so that I have no problem with exemption test?
Or neither?

nope...its a really tough linear algreba course...u can only be exempted if u have done IB Higher Math....no APs, French bacc or even A levels will get u out...

u only have to take it if ur in engineering or Hounors in management

major in physics and math(joint program)..I think I still have to take this course...ain't I?

physics lover - you have to take it
i'm a newly admitted U1 in Honours Maths (meaning i'm just starting, but i'm starting as a U1), and i have to take it also. I think the topics in precalc are just the basics for this course, but i'm not sure.
Also - are you taking this Fall or Winter? I'm thinking of taking it Fall

Math 133 is an intro course to matrices and linear algebra. No calculus involved or required. It is equivalent to cegep Math 105. Everybody needs it in science, and practically everyone has to take another course in linear algebra (223 for non physics/math people, 236 or 251 for majors and honours in math/physics/comp sci and possibly others)

It's going to be very little like precalc. It's going to be entirely matrices, I would imagine.

its supposed to be a decent course.. most people get good marks.. i wouldnt worry to much.. roth is the prof to get if you can...
