Math 140 over the summer at Wagner.

I'm a transfer student to Penn State and I'm trying to take math 140 at Wagner College. The thing that confuses me is that when I was looking at a course equivalent, using the transfer credit tool, it said math 121c = math 140. But Wagner only has math 121 on their catalog. Math 121 = gen ed credits or something so now I'm wondering if Penn State will accept those credits for 140. This is what I mean https://www.admissions.psu.edu/my_admissions/tas/cart.cfm?CFID=3071118&CFTOKEN=4dfbe85c83dc3c2b-F994C187-FB43-BC20-E3DE08E81ED7152D

There is no math 121c on Wagners catalog, only 121.

Any Ideas?

bump…

I’d love to help, but the only way to get a definite, trusted answer for these kinds of questions is to directly ask the college yourself. Call up an adviser from the college you’re interested in, both at PSU and Wagner. Good luck!

Follow edawns advise and call PSU admissions. But it looks like the issue is that Math 121 at Wagner meets 42 hours/semester ( 3 hr/ week * 14 weeks/semester). Penn State math 140 is 50 hours/semester. Thus the award of 3.3 credits upon transfer rather than 4.0 credits for math 140.

Yea I called up both schools and Wagner said that they only offer math 121 and they never herd of 121c. Penn State told me to e-mail them a description of the course and thats what I did. I hope that I could take calc this summer so I could go right into calc 2 this fall at Penn. Since I’m in the 2 plus 2 program, I have to complete both by the end of next spring so i could attend U - Park.
