Math 151

Well, i'm in general studies trying to transfer to engineering later on. my advisor put me in Math 151 my first semester. I heard that is a very difficult class. Does anyone know how hard it is? to help prepare myself for that class, i'm going to buy a book on Pre-cal and calculus and study during the summer as much as possible. I'm also in Chemistry for engineers, is that a hard class? should i study during the summer for that class?

How did you do on the Math Assessment Test? Did you take AP Calc in high school?

Same questions as wemel ^^

I skipped over Math 151 (b/c of H.S. Calculus) but heard it was a real easy class.

Last semester I took Chem 107 (General Chem. for engr), and it depends on which prof you have. No need at all to study during the summer... some of the class could even be review for you on certain topics (from H.S. Chem), but some of the material will be difficult.

I'm majoring in Computer Engineering and taking AP Calc, Chem, Stat my senior year. That a good prep for being ready for A&M engineering?

It really depends from person to person and what class you are taking. I got near 100's every term in AP Calc and ended up having a rough time in Cal II at A&M. So it really just depends.
