I'm taking math 16B right now because I waivered out of taking math 16A with my AP calculusAB, but several majors such as the IB major requires Math 16A as a prerequisite but does not say anything about math 16B. Would taking math 16B count in place of math 16A??

Integrative Biology says that if you got a 5 on AP Calculus AB or BC, you do not need to take Math 16A.

[Requirements for UCB students admitted as freshmen](Freshman Admits to Cal | Integrative Biology)

Check other majors for any specific policies on the use of AP credit. Note that if you are considering Business Administration, you need to take two math courses, such as (starting from AP credit other than 5 on BC) 16A-16B, 1A-1B, 1B-53, or 1B-54 – taking 16B alone after AP credit other than 5 on BC is not accepted.

oh ok thanks haha. And for integrative biology it says i have to fulfill 70 grade points before I can declare. I know my AP score adds some units to my transcript, but would it actually fulfill any “grade points”?

No, the only thing that fulfills grade points are grades on classes taken in college.
