<p>the math department wont force prereqs. you can sign up for it but the math dept believes that 1b wont teach you enough for 53</p>

<p>if you want to take it, i dont think that youll be at a significant diadvantage; the only part where 1b/16b material will help is when you relearn parameterization</p>
