<p>i tried to add math 16a as a class tonight on telebears....</p>
<p>the lecture is very open (over 100 spots)</p>
<p>but all of the discussions are closed, and thus I can't add the class.</p>
<p>a) why is there such a discrepancy between the number of seats in lecture and those available for discussion?</p>
<p>b) what do i do now? will they add on dicussions before summer is over or do i need to sit in on class the first few days and try to add it in person?</p>

<p>same here. omg im so frustrated also. Im number one in line for my discussion section, do you think if someone drops from my section i can get in?</p>
<p>they open up new ones @ the same time/different place i believe -- that's how i got my chem lab. don't worry about it. just keep checking. and yes if someone drops you can take his/her spot. waitlist the class you want the most/the least ppl on the waitlist. if you're in the top 3 of the waitlist, chances are you'll get in.</p>
<p>wait dragon, but i am number 15 on the list for lecture. But number one for my discussion section. If a spot opens up for my discussion, then do I get enrolled first?</p>
<p>you can't wait list a discussion (at least that's what happened to me...)</p>
<p>but you get on the line for discussion tho.... also the math department has promised to open up more discussions in phase 2</p>
