<p>I was looking at the 53 recommended prereq and it says 1B. Is 16B not sufficient preparation for 53? Thanks. Basically, if you are going to end up doing the Calc series through 54, will the 16-series prepare you well enough?</p>
<p>I believe that the 16-series is also known as the "terminal" series. After that, you can't take any more math classes. If you really want to take 53 I think you'd have to take 1B.</p>
<p>i don't know what you learn in 16B but you need to know how to integrate very well to take 53.</p>
<p>If you want to take 53/54, then take 1A/1B. The 16 series is not intended for people that want to continue taking higher level math.</p>
